Q Why the change from BizNet to BizInsights?
A The change is the result of a partnership between CrimsonLogic Pte. Ltd and Elixir Technology Pte Ltd to provide more enhanced insights into ACRA data, with Elixir taking over the business operation of this service as a new Information Service Provider of ACRA.

Q What is the relationship between Elixir and BizInsights?
A Elixir has formed a subsidiary, BizInsights Pte. Ltd., to focus and specialize on running the BizInsights services on behalf of Elixir Technology Pte Ltd.

Q How is BizInsights different from BizNet?
A Initially, BizInsights will provide a similar set of reports like BizNet to ensure smooth transition. Report layouts will be enhanced for improved usability. 3rd party reports beyond ACRA data such as Bankruptcy and FSI will be excluded, unless otherwise notified. Over time, more reports and services will be introduced to better serve the needs of corporate users.

Q What is BizInsights?
A BizInsights is a one-stop business site that provides credible and reliable insights into businesses. Offering users instantaneous access to information on Singapore companies and businesses, it facilitates business transactions and decision making through accurate market and business-related information. It also enables businesses to source for business opportunities/leads and connections via a comprehensive repository of business profile and contact information.

Q What does BizInsights offer?
A We offer a quick and economical way of accessing ACRA data on company and people, in terms of company profile, key financial information, and individual's involvement in the companies. Over time, we will provide other "smart" insights, allowing you to make quick and accurate financial and business decisions.

Q Why choose BizInsights?
A BizInsights enables you to gain accurate and reliable information of your customers and competitors' movements in their business performance to assist you in making right business decisions, by monitoring market trends and gather competitive intelligence.

Q What are the types of report I can purchase on the BizInsights website?
A You can purchase the following information:

  • Business Profile (BPF), previously Instant Information (II)
  • Strategic Corporate Information (SCI), previously Strategic Information (SI)
  • Essential Corporate Information (ECI)
  • People Profile (PPF), previously People Profile Information (PPI)

Q I am a subscriber of BizNet. Can I use my existing ID and password to access BizInsights?
A To ensure optimal transition, we have retained all the existing IDs, but passwords need to be reset for security reasons. Therefore, you will need to obtain a new password to access using your current ID. Please contact your BizInsights Account ID holder or you can contact us here.

Q I forgot my password or my password has been made invalid for whatever reason. How do I reset my password?
A You can contact us at here for password reset.

Q How often is the information on BizInsights updated?
A The information is updated on daily basis for any change data received from the ACRA. However, our system will not reflect the latest filing which are submitted to ACRA on the same day. They will only be available on the next day.

Q Where is the BizInsights data obtained from?
A The data for the following reports are obtained from ACRA: 
  • Business Profile (BPF), previously Instant Information (II)
  • Strategic Corporate Information (SCI), previously Strategic Information (SI)
  • Essential Corporate Information (ECI)
  • People Profile (PPF), previously People Profile Information (PPI)

Q What is a subscriber ID?
A A subscriber ID is an ID issued by BizInsights to users who subscribe to BizInsights services, with a monthly subscription fee of S$9, excluding GST, to enjoy lower transactional charges. You can access here to view pricing.

Q How do I subscribe to BizInsights to obtain a subscriber ID?
A To subscribe, please complete the Application Form and Interbank Giro at here. Then send the original copy of the Application Form via post with authorised signature and company/business stamp.

Q Can a foreign individual or company apply as a subscriber?
A Subscription is open to any local and foreign individual or registered companies and businesses, depending on which payment mode is chosen.

Q What are the different modes of payment for BizInsights?
A There are 5 modes of payment: 

  • GIRO for local subscribers
  • Advanced Payment for local and foreign subscribers
  • Cheque for local subscribers
  • Credit Card for local and foreign subscribers
  • Credit Card for local and foreign non-subscribers

Q Lost access to your account at BizInsights?
A You can click on the 'Reset Password' button located at the top right area of your screen. Click in your user ID at the next step and a e-mail with the new password will be sent to you through the email registered with the user.

Q The account is not under my e-mail
A We strongly recommend that each user is allocated one ID each for greater clarity to each user's purchase. If you wish to change the e-mail registered under the user, please use the contact form or contact us at info@bizinsights.net stating your request.
Q What company can I search for Business Profile Search?
A You may search a company or business by entering its name (full or partial) or registration number or Unique Entity Number (UEN). UEN, Registration number (former), company or business name, status on register and former name (if any) are provided. For Foreign registered companies, the UEN format is as, TyyPQnnnnX "n"=a number, "P"=an alphabetical letter, "Q"=an alpha-numeric digit, "PQ"=Entity-type, "Tyy"/"Syy"/"yyyy"=year of issuance, "X"=a check alphabet (eg.TyyPQnnnnX).

Q Who can I search for in People Profile Search?
A People Profile Search can be conducted on an individual who is the Manager or Owner of a business, Agent of foreign companies, Director, Managing Director, Secretary or Shareholder of local companies.
Q How will I be billed if I am a GIRO user?
A Monthly subscription is deducted at the 3th of every month.

Q How will I be billed if I am a Subscriber Credit Card user?
A Monthly subscription is deducted at the 3th of every month.

Q How do I keep track of my transactions?
A It is recommended that you print your online billing statement every week in order to facilitate comparison with the monthly bank statement.

Q Where do I view my invoices from BizInsights?
AYou may access your billing statement online with the Billing Account ID and password. After login, select My Profile (Account ID), click on Invoices tab to view you invoices

Q As a subscriber, how long will my reports be made available online?
A A subscriber’s purchases will be archived within the same day of the transaction and stored under the "Purchase Log” for 7 days. The "Purchase Log" page provides a record of the searches you have purchased for the day. You may access your Purchase Log once you have keyed in your user ID and password.

Q As a non-subscriber, how long will my reports be made available after receiving the email notification?
A A link to the purchases will be emailed within the same day of the transaction. The reports will also be made available for 7 days.
Q  Can I use my existing Account ID?
A To ensure smooth and secured transition, we have retained all the existing IDs, but passwords need to be reset for maximum security. Therefore, you will need to obtain a new password to access your current ID by first submitting a new Application Form which can be downloaded from here

Q Can I use my existing User ID?
A To ensure smooth and secured transition, we have retained all the existing IDs, but passwords need to be reset for security reasons. Therefore, you will need to obtain a new password to access using your current ID, which will be sent to your Account administrator upon successful renew registration.

Q Why have I not received the Application Form from Elixir Technology Pte Ltd?
A There are few possibilities. It could be your address has changed and not updated with us, or we do not have the information on your account. Please download the Application Form from here

Q Does an existing user have to pay for Registration Fee?
A All existing active account holders can enjoy free registration using the same Account ID when they apply with us.

Q Does an existing user have to pay for the Monthly Subscription Fee?
A Yes, the same monthly subscription fee from BizNet-Global applies. Please click here for the pricing.

Q Is additional User ID free?
A No. The same monthly fee applies for each new User ID. You can access here for the pricing.

Q I want to add or remove Users from my Account, how can I do it?
A Please contact our Customer Service team here
Q Why does the OTP list contain User IDs that do not belong to me or has missing User IDs?
A As Crimsonlogic’s centralized system allows a user to access multiple services they provide, eg TradeNet and LawNet, there are some User IDs that didn’t get handed over to Elixir. While this has largely been sorted out, please do notify us at info@bizinisghts.net if you have additional or missing accounts not duly transferred to BizInsights. Please use Subject: Additional/Missing Account and state the User IDs In the email.

Q How can I retrieve my missing Account IDs or User IDs?
A Please email to info@bizinsights.net with Subject: Additional/Missing Account, and state the missing IDs.

Q How can I de-activate the Account IDs or User IDs that do not belong to me?
A Please email to info@bizinsights.net with Subject: Additional/Missing Account, and state the IDs to be de-activated.

Q Can I just ignore the additional User IDs?
A Please note that all User IDs will be subject to monthly subscription fee unless otherwise stated. If you don’t need the additional User IDs, you should de-activate them as instructed above.

Q How is Account ID different from User ID?
A Account ID allows you to access and download your invoices. Account ID can also be used to buy reports, but only at non-subscriber price, while User ID allows buying of reports at subscriber price. However if you wish to share a single login ID which allows both accessing of invoices and buy reports as a subscriber, you can notify us at info@bizinsights.net with Subject: Merge Account and User ID to make the necessary arrangement. In such case, your merged ID will subject to subscription fee of a User ID. You can access here to view the subscriber and non-subscriber pricing.

Q Why can’t I login with my OTP provided?
A OTP is valid for one time use only. If you can’t login, it means someone has used this OTP already. Please contact us at info@bizinsights.net to regenerate a new OTP to be mailed to you.

Q I have successfully entered my OTP. So when and how can I receive my new password?
A Once we have validated your OTP, a new password will be automatically sent to the email address you provided. Please check your mailbox, and if you have any problem finding it you might want to check your junk folder or contact us at info@bizinisghts.net.

Q My account has been activated. So when can I start to buy reports from BizInsights?
A You can login with your new password to buy reports once you have received it.
Q What should I do if there is inaccurate report information?
A Please contact our customer service at 6338 2327 or email to info@bizinsights.net, we will investigate and assist you accordingly.

Q Do I need to pay for the redress of inaccurate information?
A No payment is needed for the redress of inaccurate information.

Q When can I receive the rectified information?
A Upon receiving your feedback, BizInsights will conduct an investigation and you will be notified on the outcome within 3-5 days.

From 1 January 2009, all entities that are registered in Singapore, such as businesses, local companies, limited liability partnerships (LLPs), societies, representative offices, healthcare institutions and trade unions, will have a Unique Entity Number (UEN) as its identification number.

The UEN shall be used for your interaction with government agencies. To find out more about UEN, please visit www.uen.gov.sg. The table below describes the three UEN formats.
